Equipment racks are commonly used to house a various types of equipment ranging from Multimedia systems, Surveillance systems, Network systems etc..  These systems usually utilise an LCD monitor of some kind within their component parts, whether to view the running of a CPU based network system, an LCD AV multimedia monitor to view video playback from a system or a CCTV monitor to review recorded or live images on a CCTV system a monitor will be required.  With our rack mounted monitor solutions we have a monitor to suit all of your requirements. They are designed to mount directly into industry standard 19” racks.  These equipment racks are measured in “U” whereby a single “U” is approx 44.45mm high, therefore a monitor or piece of equipment that is said to be “5U” high will be approximately 222.25mm in height. 

On either side of the rack you will find punched out holes or squares, these usually run the entire length of the rack.

Into these holes are inserted cage nuts which are retained by means of sprung wings which encompass the nut.
The equipment to be mounted in the rack will have lugs/wings either side with pre-drilled holes that are pre-measured to line up with the cage nuts and punched holes as mentioned.

A screw bolt is then inserted through the lug/wings on the equipment and tightened into the cage nut.
