Our mains voltage range of CCTV flatscreen LCD monitors are designed to be powered directly from a 240V power source , therefore there is no need for an external power supply box, the 240v supply connects directly into the rear of the monitor. A large percentage of LCD monitors, come with an external 12v PSU adapter. This kind of power supply for a CCTV flatscreen LCD monitor is fine when used in an office or residential environment, as there is usually very little electromagnetic interference. However when used in a CCTV control room environment where there is likely to be lots of additional equipment, or in an industrial environment with machinery working close by, electromagnetic interference can easily be picked up through the PSU 12vDC input cables and diversely affect the quality of picture. This particular range of CCTV LCD monitors have therefore been designed with a built-in switch mode power source that can meet these demanding requirements. This not only ensures optimum performance of the monitor but is also more convenient for locating and mounting the LCD CCTV monitor as there is not an additional PSU to accommodate.
