Physical LCD Monitor Resolution
The physical resolution of an LCD monitor, which is also know as the standard resolution.
This directly refers to the number of pixels in the LCD panel matrix ie. H x V.
Below are some examples:
15″ LCD is typically 1024×768
17″ & 19″ LCD is typically 1280×1024
26″ LCD and above is typically 1366×768
The higher of the resolution, the finer will be the final displayed image.
When LCD monitors are being used with VGA inputs, the source equipment output and LCD monitor resolution should be matched to give optimum performance, this is not an issue when LCD CCTV monitors are being used for CCTV use as the screen will be set to its optimum resolution as standard for the video / composite input.
